Lip Filler in Plano, TX
Pre-Treatment
Before your lip filler appointment, stay well hydrated and avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and other blood-thinning supplements for 24–48 hours (unless prescribed by your physician) to help minimize bruising. Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips whenever possible. During your consultation, your provider will review your goals and create a personalized treatment plan. Lip filler can also be paired with Botox®, a Lip Flip, or chin filler for enhanced facial balance and natural-looking facial harmony.
Lip Filler Treatment Process
Your lip filler treatment typically takes 30–60 minutes, including time for a topical numbing cream to maximize comfort. Mild swelling, tenderness, and bruising are common after treatment and usually improve within a few days. While you'll notice fuller lips immediately, your final results will be visible after about 2 weeks as the filler settles naturally. To help ensure the best results, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and pressure on the lips for the first 24 hours following treatment.
After/Results
Results from lip filler are visible immediately after treatment, with your lips appearing fuller and more defined. Mild swelling is normal during the first few days, and your final results typically become visible within 2 weeks as the filler settles. Depending on the type of hyaluronic acid filler used and your body's natural metabolism, results can last 6–12 months before a touch-up is recommended.
Please Note: Lips will appear larger directly after the treatment is complete! This will go down a few days post-treatment.
